A Story I've Been Holding Close

The Story of Myla Claire

Introducing Myla Claire

Hi Reader,

You haven’t heard from me in way too long (sorry about that!), but I wanted to share something with you personally today—something I haven’t written about anywhere else yet, outside of one social media announcement. It’s not a sale, it’s not a new product, it’s a glimpse into my life.

This past year, our family said hello and goodbye to our third baby and second girl, Myla Claire. On June 12, 2025, we received the devastating news that she had gone to be with Jesus at 32 weeks, and she was born sleeping on June 19th.

Even though her time with us was short, she’s a part of our family forever. These last several months I have seen God’s hand move, and He has been so present in our grief. Life after loss is hard - some days it’s just like “normal,” and other days I’m overwhelmed by the what-should-have-beens. We have been so blessed by the support and encouragement we have received - I hope I can be that encouragement to you.

I’ll be sharing more of Myla’s story and what this season has taught me in my upcoming blog posts. 🩷

I'm taking an official break from posting on social media, so over the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing her story in more detail through these emails—her birth, the little ways God revealed His hand, and the lessons we’re learning as we navigate life after loss. My hope is that in sharing, any mom out there who feels alone will know she isn’t, that God is there, He has a plan, and we don’t have to walk alone. I want my emails to be like my journal - a glimpse into my life, the nitty gritty real stuff, not just the curated picture perfect posts on social media. I hope you will continue along on the ride with me!

Thanks for being here with me,

— Mrs. Holman

PS: If you’re here for math resources, don’t worry—they aren’t going anywhere! I’ve got several new courses and activities in the works. But for now, I’m holding space for both: teaching math with clarity and sharing motherhood with honesty.

P.P.S. The assassination of Charlie Kirk has rocked the world, and it has inspired so many to renew their commitment to Christ, and to pursue a relationship with Him that they may not have otherwise. I don’t ever want to be thought of as a lukewarm Christian. I don’t want people to guess at my stance regarding Christ. Especially walking through the most difficult season of my life, my faith is a huge part of me, and you’ll be hearing more about it. If you ever have any questions about Christ, what it means to be a Christian, or where to find out more information, please send me an email! I’d love to chat. :)
